Plug-And-Play solution for Panoram's PV Series Desktop Visualization Displays

Matrox has introduced the most significant enhancement for desktop visualization since the introduction of triple headed displays themselves.

At Panoram we have been dedicated to wide screen computing for many years. Our award winning and patented PV Series has been a popular and exciting enhancement to desktop visualization since its introduction in 2000. However, many of our customers have struggled with choosing, then installing and configuring special graphics cards or multiple graphics cards in order to use our displays.

The struggle is over.

PLUG-AND-PLAY
The very affordable Matrox TripleHead2Go ($299) is a palm-sized box that takes a single channel of your graphics card set to 3840 X 1280 and provides three outputs of 1280 X 1024 ready to plug into your PV display.

Supported resolution Equivalent to
3840 x 1024 3 x 1280 x 1024
3072 x 768 3 x 1024 x 768
2400 x 600 3 x 800 x 600
1920 x 480 3 x 640 x 480

This Matrox Graphics eXpansion Module (GXM) is not actually a graphics card but an external box that slices and dices a wide screen output from your system's existing graphics solution (including SLI™) and provides automatic multi-monitor support.

Virtually all high-end graphics cards less than 2 years old simply plug-and-play, plus many older cards can be adapted. It even works with most new laptop computers through the external video port.

There are no new graphics cards to buy or install. There are NO new drivers needed. NOTHING needs to be done to the computer except changing the output resolution through the standard desktop properties menu. For many systems we have tested under Windows XP, even this configuration is automatic!

We have also tested Macintosh computers including laptops. No problem. Simply open up your display preferences and set the output to the wide resolution and you're all set.

SECURITY
This is a great boon to anyone who is working in a SECURITY conscious or corporate restricted environment where the installation of any software, hardware or drivers requires extensive permission cycles.

Now you simply plug it all together and the PV display appears to your computer system as an ultra-widescreen 3840x1024 monitor.

GAMING
This also creates a great boon for GAMING. It is very difficult for game developers to write their games for multi-monitor support. For anyone who has previously tried to adapt games to multi-monitor displays has had a relatively difficult time of it with most games getting stretched out and distorted. Very few exceptions existed such as Microsoft Flight Simulator and a few car-racing games.

Although it is difficult and resource intensive for developers to program for multiple monitors, it is relatively simple and inherent in the game development environment for them to provide configuration controls for the size of the display… Including very wide 3840 X 1024. This opens up widescreen gaming in a way that never existed before. Panoram has tested a number of games with 100% success. Matrox's compatibility list extends to over 150 games that work right out of the box!

SLI™ SUPPORT
SLI™, from nVidia, leverages the graphics power from multiple Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) of multiple graphics card to a single super performance output. Again, since the display looks like a single very wide monitor using the GXM, SLI and Crossfire performance enhancements can add plug-and-play widescreen capabilities to the most powerful workstations in the world including those that leverage dual PCIe SLI graphics cards.

You can buy the amazing TripleHead2Go from our retail website the Visualization Warehouse, or simply order the unit when you purchase your PV display.

For customers for the Panoram PV720 FRM, the GMX unit is now bundled with the display and in a running change will be built into the display directly.
