Olympus Licenses Panoram's Patented Edge-Blending Technology

February 21, 2003 - Sun Valley, Calif. - Panoram Technologies announced today that it has reached a licensing agreement with OLYMPUS OPTICAL CO., LTD regarding Panoram's multi-projector edge blending patents. Olympus has been working on multi-projector display systems for the past several years and has developed a powerful auto-calibration technology. Electronic soft edge blending is integral to the total solution.

The announcement marks the second license agreement reached by Panoram since the resolution of its litigation with 3D Perception of Norway late in 2002. Since the settlement with and licensing to 3D Perception, Panoram has been actively meeting with manufacturers who are either offering electronic soft-edge projector blending or who would like to.

Panoram's licensing program is picking up speed with more and more seamless multi-projector applications evolving. This expansion includes applications for simulation, visualization, command and control, staging and rental of event media, incorporation of projection in architecture, media set design and more.
