Panoram Dramatically Lowers Cost of High Visual Bandwidth
Desktop Computer Displays
The model PV230 DSK breaks the professional user price/performance
barrier for immersive, multi-panel displays at $9,995.00
Sun Valley, CA -- Recent information technology advances
have fundamentally altered the way we create, process, store
and deliver data. What has been lacking is an advance of similar
magnitude in the way we view and interact with that data.
The limitations of existing computer display interface technology
have restricted our ability to fully unlock the potential
of the personal computing environment. When Panoram Technologies,
the world's leading developer of advanced immersive computer
display systems for industrial and government applications,
announced the release of the Panoram PV290 DSK 43.5"
by 11.5", 3.9 megapixel native resolution desktop display
last year, that all changed. At this year's I/ITSEC exhibition,
Panoram announces the release of new additions to its line
of advanced technology desktop display systems.
The newest addition to Panoram's desktop visualization line,
the Panoram PV230 DSK, delivers 2.4 megapixels of screen real
estate and accepts both computer and video inputs. Its aesthetic
appeal and adjustable arm reflects Panoram's passion for design
elegance and user ergonomics.
Panoram desktop visualization systems feature three integrated,
flat-screen LCD TFT active matrix display panels. All are
compatible with most popular computer platforms, including
Apple Macintosh OS 8/9/X, HP-UX, SGI Irix, SUN Solaris 2.8,
Windows 98/NT/ME/2000.
The Panoram desktop visualization systems have been engineered
to provide maximum screen real estate, with minimal separation
between the images. Each system expands computer users' visual
gateway to enhance personal productivity by providing a larger
"desktop" on which to lay out multi-application
tasks. The three flat-screens can operate as a single integrated
display or as three independent displays running three different
applications simultaneously.
The PV230 DSK will be available next month and will carry
a MSLP of $9,995.00, making it the world's first immersive
visualization system aimed at the expanding professional user
market.
