AV Field Applications Engineer

Panoram Technologies (www.panoramtech.com), a leading worldwide provider of High Tech Visualization Systems, headquartered in Sun Valley, California, has an immediate opening for a full time A/V Field Applications Engineer. The ideal candidate should be experienced with systems using CRT or DLP projection displays from a variety of suppliers. Experience with Barco Projection systems a significant plus. Knowledge of room control (Crestron/AMX) and teleconferencing systems preferred. Knowledge of video and audio cable routing, switching and signal processing is mandatory. Must have experience in PC networking and Windows configuration. Experience in Visio or AutoCAD a strong plus. Position requires ability to identify hardware/software solutions for technical problems, working with cutting-edge technology. Must be willing/able to travel internationally.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT, video, audio and systems integration
• Projector installation and configuration
• Aptitude for troubleshooting complex systems with complex video routing and switching
• Ability to install, configure and troubleshoot Windows (XP, 2000, NT) software and PC hardware issues
• Ethernet network experience
• Troubleshoot video signals (analog and digital)
• Troubleshoot projector and associated hardware
• Sound system installation
• Experience in Teamwork environment

• Able to travel both domestically and internationally
• Able to work occasional weekends to meet customer schedules
• US Citizenship
• Clear Background Record
• Valid CA Drivers license with clean driving record and reliable transportation
• Discipline and self-motivation to meet deadlines and produce high quality and accurate work product
• Knowledge of video and audio cable routing, switching and signal processing
• Experience with PC networking, serial comm. and Windows configuration
• Able to understand wiring and facility design schematics
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to interface with Customers and co-workers
• Able to produce detailed installation reports upon project completion
• High School Diploma, College graduate preferred
• ICIA Certification preferred
• Strong computer skills
